New learning opportunity to be offered at 2009 Best Factory Awards

For manufacturers aiming for the same kind of manufacturing excellence being achieved by the companies stepping onto the stage to collect their Best Factory Awards trophies this year, a special morning 'How to be a winner' session is to be hosted by senior awards judge Professor Mike Sweeney.

With judging for the 2009 Best Factory Awards now in full swing, organisers Cranfield School of Management and Works Management have added this extra dimension to the gala awards to be held at London's prestigious Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, on 18 September. Professor Sweeney will be joined by previous winners, some of this year's shortlisted companies and the Works Management editorial team to share with delegates, first hand, what it takes to be the best. Beginning at 9.15am, the morning will include a series of informal round table discussions enabling attendees to make invaluable peer group contacts, learn valuable lessons and take their next step towards excellence. Places are limited to just 50 guests who will also receive discount vouchers for the spring 2010 BFA Conference. The Best Factory Awards, now in their 18th year, will be presented at the gala lunch by engineer-turned-Tomorrow's World presenter Kate Bellingham (pictured) who will unveil the names of the industry's brightest stars of 2009.
