Siebel Systems, the customer relationship management (CRM) software vendor, and product design and development software supplier, PTC, have announced a partnership this month.
As a result, sales, marketing and service staff users of Siebel’s eBusiness Applications software will now have access to rich product data (including product hierarchy and attributes) as well as a variety of product-centric documents such as CAD files, manufacturing instructions, test procedures and marketing literature.
“The tools that this alliance is designed to create should bring real value to our clients,” says Julie Nelson, CRM high-tech marketing partner at management consultancy firm, Accenture. “With the ability to provide rich content to customers and better customer feedback to engineering during the development process, our clients should be able to get closer to their customers and deliver more innovative solutions to them.”
