Fluid and pneumatic motion technologies manufacturer Norgren says it has extended its use of the Hybris product information management (PIM) solution into the US market.
Its decision follows success in the European market, according to Norgren CIO Karin Catton, and is aimed at replacing legacy systems and disparate data sources with a a single repository for all product data across the globe.
"With such a large range of products available from our catalogue and web stores, the need to centralise the maintenance and management of complex data across all channels is imperative," explains Catton.
"Our initial decision to invest in Hybris was based on its proven track record as a premium PIM platform with a broad range of functionality, ease of use and adaptability to support complex processes," she adds.
Norgren has already created a central spine of product data for the Norgren Express range of fast moving products in Europe, which will now be extended with localised data about US measurements.
