Oil and gas rig operator signs with IFS for asset management
An unnamed "major North American offshore oil and gas drilling company" has signed a contract to implement IFS Applications to take over as its enterprise asset management (EAM) software system.
According to an IFS spokesperson, the firm, which operates jack-up rigs around the world, will implement IFS Applications for Offshore Service to support its maintenance operations.
The software selected will include projects, maintenance and material management. It also includes IFS Instant Replication, a solution for rapid replication of data between offshore rigs or vessels and onshore facilities.
