Hygienic disposables manufacturer Ontex has agreed a new three-year warehousing, logistics and home delivery services contract on the back of achieving service levels of around 99.7 per cent.
The contract is with RCS Logistics, which has been working with Ontex for more than 10 years, and will provide home delivery services for the North of England from its recently-opened depot in Wakefield and to most other English regions.
Ontex operations manager Olly Craughan said RCS continued to meet the company's requests in a fast moving operation to a high standard, succeeding in continuously hitting a service level requirement of 98.5 per cent.
RCS Logistics' Darren Beaty said the company typically provided around 1,200 deliveries each day using dedicated drivers and vans and was consistently achieving service levels of around 99.7 per cent.
