Growing numbers of companies in finance are turning to performance management in the form of Business Objects Profitabilty and Cost Management application, to remain competitive during tough times, says SAP.
Stephanie Buscemi, vice president of marketing at Business Objects, puts it down to the system’s ability to provide insights into cost drivers and their impact on profitability.
She says that, with a more holistic picture, customers are making better-informed business decisions – a facility that most manufacturers would find useful.
“During times of economic downturn, it is even more critical for customers to adopt solutions that are laser-focused on improving their company’s ability to succeed,” says Buscemi.
“Critical to that is finding the right balance between containing costs and ensuring that cost-cutting measures do not compromise an organisation’s ability to maintain service levels and pursue fruitful business strategies.”
