Planet Filters extracts value from integrated Infor ERP LN solution

The implementation was designed to improve efficiency of its global manufacturing operations, and the organisation says the solution will now be rolled out to the entire group, including Planet Filters’ Chinese subsidiary in Shanghai, which is already using Infor’s ERP systems. “We had no hesitation in choosing Infor ERP LN as our solution to roll out to the entire group in the future,” says Mauro Morandi, vice managing director, Planet Filters. “Our vision is to have one integrated software solution, which can then facilitate accurate financial management of all inter-company and multi-site operations, providing us with single view of our global operations.” Planet Filters’ previous IT system was not up to that level of streamlined business. Morandi gives the example of web tools, which the company needed to enable its sales to create remote orders, manage the sending of confirmation orders and invoice by email. The production team also needed advanced scheduling and shopfloor data capture to be integrated with the ERP system, while warehouse logistics management also needed upgrading.
