Milking machines manufacturer Fullwood says its migration from Infor ERP MK to Infor ERP LN is about improving order accuracy and speeding up processing times.
The solution is expected to go live for 60 UK users in January next year and Fullwood director Spencer Davis says its greater sophistication will help the organisation to deal with growth, which has exceeded 40% since 2007.
"We were due to change our system in 2011, but we decided it was necessary to change earlier in order to further enhance our business processes," says Davis.
"We believe ERP LN will improve our management of data so we can track customer orders more efficiently, optimise delivery accuracy and cut down the time it takes to process orders."
Fullwood manufactures a range of milking technologies, including automated milking solutions that incorporate tag ID to manage herds and optimise milk production.
"Understanding the characteristics of cows' milking patterns is pivotal in maximising the production of milk from a herd. With Infor ERP LN, we are in a strong position … to meet the unique needs of entire herds," says Davis.
"We undertook several client visits and phone conversations with existing customers, all of which had benefitted from the industry experience built in to ERP LN. The result of this exercise was a deeper understanding of how ERP LN would drive our business forward through delivering greater order accuracy and management of our operations," he adds.
