Guascor powers ahead with Infor ERP LN

The company serves the power generation, cogeneration, renewables and marine markets, with energy equipment, and Guascor IT director Joseba Iríbar explains that the system is linking its engineering and manufacturing departments more tightly. He points to the firm's complex designs, and its requirement to meet tight make-to-order production and delivery times, while also providing excellent after-sales support. These factors, he says, make working with suppliers and customers around the world even more important. Equally, the firm needs to managing its assets and supply chain efficiently. Until recently, Baan IV provided the infrastructure, enabling the company to handle changes, as well as communicating these to the organisation, and maintaining a good financials. However, since upgrading to Infor ERP LN, improvements include: better traceability of purchase and sales management; advanced user interfaces that are easier to use and more management-focused; and enhanced project management. "We have complete faith in this upgrade, and believe that the new functions of Infor ERP LN will bring us closer to excellence," states Iríbar. "We are also redesigning our management model in order to dispense [with] valueless processes and simplify the rest as much as we can," he adds.
