Privately held US ERP sstmes developer Plex Systems has opened an international operations office in Germany, after receiving certification from the German Institute of Auditors.
That validates the high-growth firm's Plex Online's SaaS (software as a service) ERP system as suitable for use by multinational companies with operations in Germany and those headquartered in Germany.
"In 2010, Plex Systems saw an accelerating growth rate, as an increasing number of manufacturers and processors chose cloud ERP as the best solution to fit their business needs – and chose Plex Online as the best cloud ERP solution on the market," comments Plex Systems president and CEO Mark Symonds.
Symonds explains that Plex has already made its name in the US, particularly in the automotive and general industrial manufacturing sectors, but adds that the firm is now seeing deployments in food and beverage processing, electronics manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, aerospace and defence and consumer packaged goods.
In fact, Plex added 37 new customers in 2010, including its largest ever, the automation and controls giant Invensys Controls. It also reports a 27% recurring revenue improvement over 2009 in SaaS subscriptions, although, as a private company it does not reveal figures. Interestingly, though, the company did hire 54 new employees in 2010,
Recent new users include: Tianhai Electric North America, Climax Manufacturing, Steel Warehouse Profiling, SFI of Tennessee, Dokka Fasteners, Quatro Composites, Allied Alloys, Whitehall Industries, Yetter Manufacturing, Ada Technologies and Ernie Green Industries.
