Portakabin manufacturing orders up by a fifth
Modular buildings manufacturer Portakabin has reported a 19% rise in orders from the manufacturing sector in the last nine months.
Recent projects have included a research facility for the new International Institute for Nanocomposite Manufacturing at WMG at the University of Warwick and a 3,500 sq m interim office complex for Jaguar Land Rover, where rapid growth prompted the need for interim office accommodation for the car manufacturer's sales and design teams.
Derek Carter, chief executive of the Portakabin Group, said, "Manufacturing has a vital role to play in the economic well-being of the UK and we are pleased to be helping other British manufacturers to move quickly as they develop and grow their businesses."
