Power X selects enterprise-wide PDM from Pragmax

Headquartered in the UK, Power X Networks, manufacturer of intelligent switch fabric for optical networks, has selected Pragmax’s PDM (product data management) software to form the backbone of its enterprise-wide quality assurance and information system. The software is being installed globally across all the firm’s design and manufacturing processes to facilitate real-time, accurate information flow and synchronise design data quality, and speed up new product development and delivery. The company needs to replace its existing low-level, costly, time consuming, error-prone systems with an automated front-to-back system to streamline product data and manage the processing of change requests and change orders. Alan Garner, vp operations and engineering at Power X, commented: “From a manufacturing viewpoint, we wanted a real-time, reliable and secure data management system. The document, PCB [printed circuit board] and component controls within Pragmax help our customers, ensuring errors are flagged, and not repeated, when laying out silicon and sending it to manufacturing.”
