Project-based manufacturers get the APS connection

Sescoi's WorkPLAN Enterprise ERP system is now available tightly integrated with Preactor APS (advanced planning and scheduling) software.

The two organisations say they are working together in markets including Northern Europe, Asia and the Americas. They insist that the two systems have been "fully and seamlessly interfaced to deliver the combined benefits of WorkPLAN … and Preactor".. WorkPLAN itself is aimed at project based and custom equipment manufacturers, and providing bi-directional data exchange with Preactor enables the system to plan the delivery and execution of new projects, update management reports live, and provide snapshots of key performance indicators. Bruno Marko, president and founder of Sescoi, adds that analysis of CAD data by WorkPLAN and use of historic information together make it possible to produce very accurate quotations, while other functions of the software control sales, inventory, purchasing, subcontracting, quality, time and attendance, after sales, and links to accounting packages. Likewise, visibility for projects is greatly increased, ensuring that profit margins and customer satisfaction are maximized while administrative effort is minimised, he says. Mike Novels, Preactor CEO, comments: "We are very similar companies with very similar global coverage and markets. My colleagues and I are proud to be working with Bruno and his team."
