La Rousse Foods has revealed that it has signed software services firm Aspera Solutions to deliver £200,000 worth of Ross (CDC) ERP software, which the company believes will pay for itself within three years.
Tristan Geoghegan, finance manager at La Rousse Foods, says the system is targeted on delivering a 4—5% improvement in customer service metrics, as well as better traceability and freshness of delivered food.
He also says that the system will span four sites, with barcode systems tracking stock fro producer to customer, providing major productivity benefits.
"Aspera's experience of the food sector in Ireland and the UK reassured us that they inherently understood our business," comments Geoghegan. "They grasped the real potential of Ross ERP and convinced us of their ability to maximise the return on this investment.
"This will make a positive impact on our stock and order management, and ensure that we reduce stock wastage to as close to zero as possible."
The system is currently being rolled out and the implementation is due to be completed in May 2010, ready to take on La Rousse Foods' growing product range.
