Ross gets REACH compliance upgrades under CDC

CDC Software has released a new version of the Ross ERP solution at v 6.3.2, which, it says, is aimed at helping chemical manufacturers achieve compliance with the EU's REACH regulations.

Alan MacLamroc, global chief product and technology officer at CDC, explains that the new version automates, processes and provides documentation required under REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical Substances), which saw augmented in January this year. "Chemical manufacturers are weighing the costs for compliance against their overall profitability," says MacLamroc. "We believe Ross ERP is one of the lowest total cost of ownership solutions that help chemical manufacturers balance their operational costs and margins, while streamlining the compliance process for REACH." Summit Industrial Products, a global manufacturer of synthetic lubricants and a long-time Ross Enterprise user, says it's a useful addition. "We are delighted to see this new version of Ross ERP, offering these enhanced compliance capabilities specific to the chemical industry," says Kelly Starr, executive vice president, finance and administration, at Summit. "We expect that this latest version will help chemical manufacturers simplify management of the increasing complexity in domestic and international regulatory compliance."
