Safety shower maker wins export contracts

The St Helens, Merseyside-based emergency shower manufacturer Showers & Eyebaths Services, has secured contracts worth nearly £230,000 to supply emergency shower units destined for major overseas oil, gas and power supply industries.

An order amounting to 15 tank showers will satisfy the safety shower demands of the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations, part of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Group for its on-shore drilling sites. Twenty-eight free standing emergency shower units are bound for the natural gas fields of Malaysia to support plant workers involved in natural gas pre-treatment and liquefaction and 47 free standing showers are also destined for use by the largest integrated engineering and construction firm in Taiwan. Craig Yates, managing director of Showers & Eyebaths Services said: "We are investing in ensuring that our safety products meet differing global standards set by individual countries. This includes Saudi Arabia, Asia, Russia, Europe and the South Pacific region. With contracts of this value it is evident that our investment is paying dividends."
