SAP launches online career centre for employers and job seekers

SAP has launched a new route to finding SAP experts and job openings around the world through social media.

The SAP career centre, part of the SAP community network, uses "the power of the 1.7 million plus community membership" to facilitate SAP-specific job and talent searches by combining an online job board with an interactive forum. "The career centre further highlights the SAP community network as a platform for sustainable social networking by providing SAP professionals a forum for career advice and staffing needs," says Julius Bussche, one of SAP's so-called mentors. "It will help bring professionals and employers together by highlighting members' accomplishments and SAP credentials through contribution of content to the community network's forums, wikis, blogs and various collaboration areas," he adds. Throughout September 2009, the career center will allow all employers – partners, customers, consulting firms, etc – to post their job openings free.
