SAP’s recently acquired subsidiary, TomorrowNow, which provides low cost third party maintenance contracts for former JD Edwards and PeopleSoft ERP system users, is now offering support for Siebel CRM (customer relationship management) software users.
SAP claims more than 120 JDE and PeopleSoft customers have already switched to TomorrowNow under its ‘Safe Passage’ Programme, launched last year as Oracle went through its huge acquisition phase, and says that number is set to “increase dramatically” – including in Europe.
The reason: it’s offering up to 10 years of support on releases and reckons users can benefit from savings of up to 50% against direct maintenance fees now being provided by Siebel, JDE and PeopleSoft owner Oracle.
Looking at brief detail, the new Siebel support is for Releases 5.x, 6.x, 7.0x, 7.5x, and 7.7x, with new fixes, 24 x 7 availability and 30-minute response times. Also, services are available in two ways: bundled as part of Safe Passage and leading to SAP’s own CRM; or direct from TomorrowNow for users wanting to maintain their Siebel solutions.
