SAP has announced general availability of SAP Sales OnDemand, delivering on its promise to introduce the next wave of SaaS solutions designed for the way it believes people and businesses work today.
The software is immediately available in Austria, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, the UK and US, and SAP says that it has been designed from the ground up with the input of customers' sales professionals to help them sell more effectively.
Pricing is being offered on a named user basis, ranging from $40 to $80 per user per month for SAP Sales OnDemand with Microsoft Outlook integration, SAP® ERP application integration add-in, mobile applications and analytics, depending on the number of users and length of contract.
Previewed earlier this year at the CeBIT trade fair, SAP Sales OnDemand is the first of what SAP sees as a new class of people-centric, on-demand solutions that combines the advantages of social, mobile and cloud applications.
Key points to note include the claim that its built-in social collaboration eases the way in which sales people work with their networks, helping them to share best practices and manage accounts better.
SAP also points to the system's provision of real-time information updates that are specifically relevant to current opportunities and accounts. And it suggests that support for mobile devices, including BlackBerry, iPhone and iPad, allows sales professionals to work anytime, anywhere.
The solution has also been built on the SAP® Business ByDesign solution platform, enabling users to take advantage of SAP's much vaunted capabilities, including in-memory computing.
