SAP says it will mobilise human resources with mobile apps

SAP yesterday (4 October 2011) announced a series of HR-based mobile apps to help managers and employees execute requests on-the-go.

David Ludlow, group vice president for SAP's human capital management business, says the new mobile apps are designed to increase employee and manager productivity, while also connecting people anyplace at anytime. For him, it's all about empowering the "always-on" workforce, with real-time mobile capabilities for performing activities, such as interviewing job candidates, managing employee performance, entering and approving leave requests and accessing corporate KPIs. New apps are planned for general availability in Q4 of this year include: SAP Manager Insight, SAP Interview Assistant, SAP Employee Lookup, SAP Leave Request, SAP Timesheet and SAP HR Approvals. "With these mobile HR apps, SAP strengthens its commitment to the mobile space and the improved availability of HR processes that allows employees to increase their productivity while working on-the-go," comments Ludlow.
