SteelEye makes backup and replication safer and faster
SteelEye Data Replication for Linux v6 is the first high availability product to combine continuous data protection with ‘any point in time rewind’ and multi-site replication, according to developer SteelEye.
It is also the first Linux solution to combine volume-based data replication with continuous data protection (CDP), meaning users can optimise their data protection schemes for the business requirement.
The ‘any point in time rewind’ facility simply means that users can reduce time to restore data in order to meet tougher recovery time objectives.
There’s also an integrated browser-based data recovery wizard that simplifies navigation through back-up data to rebuild production datasets, which further saves on recovery time.
Incidentally, for companies that need more than one real-time backup of critical business data, SteelEye Data Replication supports multiple replication targets, which can span any combination of local and remote sites.
