Telvent and Schneider promise more efficient infrastructures
Manufacturers are being promised improved efficiencies on their critical network infrastructures, following the acquisition of Telvent by Schneider Electric.

Michel Crochon, executive vice president of Schneider's energy business, says that Telvent's world class infrastructure technology and Schneider's energy and process management expertise make a powerful combination.
Sectors covered range from the oil and gas, and the water industries – with Telvent being positioned as complementing Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure architecture in everything from piloting to monitoring and optimising industrial networks.
Similarly, with Schneider's field-based Smart Grid energy metering, Telvent can integrate its grid monitoring and control software – the promise being a more efficient, flexible and secure grid.
"I'm convinced that, together, Telvent and Schneider Electric will answer our customers' sustainability and efficiency challenges for today and tomorrow," comments Crochon.
