Thales to expand PLM implementation across all divisions

Electronics, aerospace and defence systems manufacturer Thales is to extend its use of PTC’s CAD/CAM and PLM (product lifecycle management) software across all its divisions. Thales has signed a new global five year deal with the company, and is working to deliver a re-engineered and updated information system to support all its product development processes. The firm reckons the new system will enable it to optimise common processes and improve sharing, management and control of product data both within and across its divisions. It says it also expects to improve collaborative working for the extended teams within Thales group companies and out to include suppliers, partners and customers.
