The Manufacturing Institute voiced delight at retaining the prestigious berth and said it was looking forward to hearing more stories of achievement from manufacturing employees from this year's awards.
The Manufacturing Champions Awards focus on highlighting the people powering manufacturing success was crucial with the arrival of a new government said Julie Madigan, CEO of the Manufacturing Institute.
"The need for rebalancing remains, the need to drive up investment in skills, technology and expansion of our manufacturing and technology businesses remains," she said.
"Let's hope the enduring value of manufacturing and the need to support and grow it continues to be recognised. In this climate there is a stronger than ever need to reward outstanding performance, teamwork and adding value to customers."
The Manufacturing Institute will sponsor the Manufacturing Leader category of the Manufacturing Champions Awards, which were launched in 2014 to promote the people whose pride and professionalism help UK sites compete on the global stage.
The Manufacturing Institute is a leading industry charity and training provider. The organisation has worked with 10,000 companies, educated 50,000 manufacturers and delivered more than £1.1billion of cost benefits.
The Manufacturing Champions Awards emphasis on celebrating people struck a chord with The Manufacturing Institute's ethos added Madigan.
"Time and time again we have seen that it is people who make a business successful. Sometimes those people haven't had any formal management or leadership training but this can often light the touch paper to increased confidence and success as people move from follower to leader."
