Thorn and Sunderland FC kick off floodlight partnership
Thorn Lighting – winner of the Best Factory Award factory of the year accolade in 2009 – and Sunderland Football Club have announced a new two-year partnership that will bring the Altis floodlight system to Sunderland's Stadium of Light ground.
The installation will be ready for the start of the 2014/15 Premier League season.
"The new system we are installing at Sunderland has been meticulously designed with the latest technology in mind," said Noel Whiffin, key account manager at Thorn Lighting. "Altis eliminates visible flicker and provides excellent lighting levels, to make HD football coverage better than ever."
The new floodlight system at Sunderland will feature the Altis optic rotational reflector, said to reduce glare and sky glow.
