Toyota has added 250 new counterbalance forklifts to its 3,000-strong fleet of short-term hire trucks to meet increased demand.
The additions include models from the range of Tonero engine-powered forklifts and Traigo electric-powered forklifts, all of which are fitted with Toyota's System of Active Stability.
Alan Sowersby, business solutions director at Toyota Material Handling UK, said: "Often customers need short-term hire trucks as an emergency replacement or if they have unexpected demand, therefore they need a reliable and efficient supplier. By analysing our customers' requirements, we have increased our fleet in the areas where we have the most demand."
Hire options range from one day to several months and include hand pallet trucks, counterbalance forklifts and a range of warehouse trucks. Some equipment is held at regional depots to enable faster delivery to customer sites.
Short-term hire can be arranged via Toyota's new online chat service: www.forklifthirenow.co.uk.
