Toyota opens doors to used forklift trucks
An online warehouse listing pre-owned forklift trucks and other materials handling equipment has been launched by Toyota Material Handling UK. Visitors to the site (www.toyota-forklifts.co.uk) can see details of available pre-owned models, including year of manufacture, how much use has been clocked up and price.
All pre-owned equipment on the website comes from Toyota's contract hire fleet and has been refurbished in its UK fleet management centre. Engineers check major components to ensure the truck is up to scratch before grading it – all are refurbished to silver level as minimum, with others to gold or platinum standard.
Tony Wallis (pictured), Toyota's operations director, said: "Toyota pre-owned trucks are in high demand because they have an industry reputation for maintaining their value over time. Our pre-owned equipment offers a great solution for customers who are looking for low-cost quality equipment, and the new website will make it easier for customers to see what we have available."
