Loading equipment manufacturer Transdek reports it is trebling the size of its facility near Doncaster to enable it to meet growing demand.
The business moved to new premises in Harworth, South Yorkshire, in 2010 and is now increasing the size of its facility to 120,000 sq ft. The move will also create new jobs, though the company hasn't confirmed how many.
"The expansion of our Harworth site continues our strategic business development plan to establish Transdek as the market leader in supplying high quality loading solutions in the UK," says Mark Adams, managing director.
Some component manufacture is coming back in house, so reducing Transdek's carbon footprint and, it says, enhancing production efficiency.
Transdek's range includes loading bay systems, double deck lifts, mezzanine floor lifts and dock levellers. All lifts are pre-built and factory tested prior to delivery, and are surface mounted ensuring equipment can be installed quickly and without the need for costly civil engineering works.
