Vero buys Camtek production CAM business

Camtek has spent 23 years in the production CAM market, working mainly with mill/turn applications, specialised solutions for wire EDM, five axis laser cutting and tube cutting. Camtek’s wire EDM solution is probably the most widely used and is the standard recommended by many of the world’s leading manufacturers of wire erosion machines. Recent developments include the revamp of its core two and a half axis and 3D CAM products with the inclusion of advanced mill/turn strategies and high speed milling. Vero International Software managing director Don Babbs says: “The addition of Camtek people will allow us to enhance both the PEPS and VISI-Series product ranges as well as adding world class solutions for the wire EDM market, advanced production CAM and specialist solutions for laser and tube cutting. “Camtek have been in the production sector for a number of years and with two improved product ranges we have confidence in being able to expand in both the mould and die and production sectors.”
