A TV company wants to know how manufacturers do it.
Works Management has been asked by the television company that makes the high rating series ‘How Do They Do It?’ for Discovery Channel and Channel 5, to help find some interesting UK manufacturers.
The programme is essentially a technology/engineering show, presented by Robert Llewellyn and it is currently looking for new stories for the next series.
Assistant Producer Natalia Dannenberg tells us: “The type of story we are looking for would involve a factory that produces something that the viewers can relate to, perhaps from their everyday lives. It would have lots of interesting, visual technology - it’s good when the technology is very industrial and visible (i.e. the machines aren’t all enclosed, so that all you see is metal boxes making a lot of noise!). It’s also important that the factory has a sense of scale; and if there’s something for our presenter to do (like operating machines, spraying paint, helping on an assembly line, etc).”
Filming for one day would take place between now and mid-April.
If you think your factory fits the bill and you’d like to put your name in the frame, drop an email to Works Management editorial director Ken Hurst (khurst@findlay.co.uk).
