Delegates to Works Management's Manufacturing Conference (WMMC) 2014 in Leicester on 20-21 November will have the opportunity to visit one of several top UK manufacturers including Triumph Motorcycles, Weetabix and train making giant Bombardier Transportation.
The conference will also let delegates into the secrets of securing employee buy in to their continuous improvement programme and creating a 'can-do' site culture. They will discover how to master the engagement skills that will break down the 'but we've always done it that way' culture.
A glittering line-up of managers who have delivered CI success at companies including Sony and Coca-Cola will headline the conference keynote programme on day one.
Sessions will focus on simple steps to overcoming silo mentality and tips on becoming a more inspirational leader of change programmes.
Delegates will then have the chance to see real line side examples of world-class employee engagement by taking part in a factory tour.
This year's tour hosts include Bombardier Transportation, Derby; Triumph Motorcycles, Hinckley; Weetabix, Burton Latimer; Vaillant, Belper; and Benson Box, Bardon.
Day two of WMMC will invite delegates to put the CI theory into practice at an interactive series of workshops.
Sessions include 'Sherlock Holmes – a case of mistaken identity' led by training provider Festo which will show delegates how to spot and remedy disengaged employees. Other workshop sessions include psychometric testing to establish your preferred leadership style and how to deploy it to maximise CI success. And psychodrama, a form of role play and dramatic self presentation, to help you better engage workforces in change.
