BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, has added the ITIL Master Certificate in IT Service Management to its professional certification portfolio.
Martyn Lambert, qualifications director for the Institute, explains that certification is open to experienced service managers who have achieved ITIL Expert Level.
"As IT service management grows in maturity, so do the requirements for developing and recognising capable individuals in the industry," comments Lambert.
"The ITIL Master is a very good way for individuals to demonstrate their skills and is especially useful in helping them to distinguish themselves in today's highly competitive jobs market," he adds.
ITIL Master certification is assessed through written submission and candidate interview. Candidates are required to demonstrate how they have selected and applied a range of knowledge, principles, methods and techniques from ITIL and supporting management techniques, to achieve desired business outcomes.
