Brother International gears up with catalogue CAD downloads

Power transmission products now being promoted through the CDS software include Brother's Mini, Water Resistant Mini, Mid and F3 series gearmotors and reducers. Garett Dorman, national operations manager for Brother, believes that the industrial buying process has changed. "Designers now research and select products online, often before even talking to a supplier," he asserts. "Our website has become a frontline sales tool, not only to enable customers to quickly find the right product, but also to help [them] design-in our products, using the CAD downloads," he explains. Dorman says that Brother's new web approach simplifies that process and saves customers time and money. "We're delighted with the models CDS built for us, the ease of use of the parametric product search and CAD download experience for our customers as well as the flexibility, adaptability and support we receive from CDS," he says.
