Tompkins powers up web-based CAD model delivery
US-based hydraulic adapters and fluid power components manufacturer Tompkins Industries has selected Catalog Data Solutions’ to power its 3D CAD model download service.
Says Bill Hartman, Tompkins national sales manager: “By adding 2D/3D CAD drawings and models to our website, we are able to save design engineers valuable time in meeting their product design deadlines and as a result we expect to see an increase in the number of online sales leads and RFQs.”
Studies show that more than 90% of designers and engineers now use the Internet to locate components for new designs.
Tompkins expects to grow sales and strengthen customer loyalty through interactive online catalogues, combined with 3D CAD model delivery and product configurator functionality.
