International fragrance house CPL Aromas says it expects to gain full visibility across operations, and to optimise control globally, when it goes live with an ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX2012.
The system selected is the Dynamics AX2012 version for Process Manufacturers – which is still a beta version – and Columbus IT will provide all planning and implementation services, along with consultancy and the software itself.
CPL Aromas group CEO Chris Pickthall states that the new system is to be implemented across all company divisions world wide.
"This major investment in new ERP systems is fundamental to providing increased levels of customer service for CPL Aromas, and we are very pleased to be partnered with Columbus IT in this vital project," he says.
The decision to run with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Columbus IT follows a three-month programme of due diligence, looking at everything from expertise and knowledge to global presence.
Columbus IT UK country manager Mary Hunter says her company is now commencing the deployment across manufacturing, sales and creative centres around the world, prior to its official release.
"Our solution – based on AX2012 for manufacturers – will help resolve the challenges of operating disparate systems on a global scale, by giving them full visibility across operations, and optimisation of control through one single platform," comments Hunter.
"This new investment with Columbus will ensure we can meet the challenges faced within the global fragrance industry," comments Pickthall.
