US-based broadband network infrastructure equipment manufacturer Communications Systems has selected IFS Applications ERP system to replace legacy systems and improve its manufacturing agility.
The company also expects to automate and standardise processes throughout its global organisation, and to increase visibility for decision making, while building a platform for future growth.
CSI vice president of IS Mike Skucius explains that, as a mixed-mode manufacturer, CSI needed an ERP solution agile and robust enough to run in multiple manufacturing environments, while improving overall company visibility and SOX reporting capabilities.
Hence IFS Applications, which, he says, will be rolled out first at CSI's Minnetonka location, followed by Hector in Minnesota, Fort Lauderdale in Florida, China, Costa Rica and the UK.
Skucius intends to implement a broad suite of IFS Applications modules, including IFS Business Performance, Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing, Engineering/Product Design, Maintenance, Call Centre, IFS Service Management, HR, Sales and Marketing, and Business Intelligence.
"Following extensive requirements development and vendor comparisons, our selection team determined that IFS was the best choice for CSI," states Skucius.
"Benefits for us will include a better informed field sales staff, improved data analysis and reporting tools, a higher level of integration across multiple international business units, improved data sharing with our customers, improved communication and workflow, traceability on software revisions, and complete product lifecycle management," he adds.
