Composite doors manufacturer Permadoor, based in Upton-upon-Severn, says it expects to improve efficiency, speed and accuracy of its estimating and sales processes using an Eden product configurator from Datadialogs.
The system will steer sales operatives and customers wanting bespoke doors and frames through its thousands of permutations of knockers, letter boxes and glass, cutting turnaround times and costs and also improving customer service.
It’s part of Permadoor’s growth strategy, which recently saw a £2 million investment in factory expansion aimed at doubling production by 2009. On the IT side, Graham Ringrose, ICT manager, says: “We needed to reduce manual intervention in order processing and the inevitable level of errors, cut turnaround time, and increase the volume of sales we can handle.”
The company is also implementing EdenFusion middleware, to enable integration with its existing ERP system. “Eden’s flexibility will enable us to meet these goals, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction,” says Ringrose.
