Steel industry automation and equipment machinery manufacturer Danieli Automation says it will be able to answer all customer requests, in real time, throughout all stages of sales, production and after sales, when it goes live with Infor ERP LN, Infor CRM Epiphany Sales and also Infor e-Service.
Based in Buttrio Italy, Danieli spans from plant design to commissioning of integrated solutions for steel companies, and the company says it needed good IT to help manage what are frequently complex projects – all the way from production to after-sales and maintenance.
It also explains that its previous IT system was unable to handle the level of project manufacturing it needed, so, following a business process re-engineering programme, it went for a software selection process.
The choice, it says, was between Oracle and Infor, with the latter winning for its LN solution, which has strengths in project manufacturing and after-sales service. Danieli then extended its ERP investment with Infor CRM Epiphany Sales to provide its sales people with real-time access to data.
