The Carl Zeiss team has started a new ambitious programme to implement the ground breaking Lean 3P (production, preparation and process) system, which fuses the development of the manufacturing process with R&D new product development innovation.
The BFA judges summed the site up as “an excellent example of the implementation of lean manufacturing, especially one piece flow and visual management, by a low volume, high value manufacturer”.
