An innovative service developed by a regional IT company has proved so popular that it has brought forward its plans, and launched it as a standalone service.
The Eagle-i application was designed by Shropshire-based AcuITy to monitor its clients' IT infrastructure, and is supported throughout business hours by a dedicated helpdesk team.
"It worked so well from the start that we found we were able to highlight any issues and fix them before clients even knew that there was a problem" explains John Line, managing director of AcuITy.
"We look at everything from disc space and server uptime to back-up performance, third party interface availability and website synchronisation – and our proactive monitoring means that we're able to support clients across the board, without them having to suffer any downtime," he adds.
The Eagle-i application is currently used to monitor more than 500 IT drives on behalf of AcuITy's clients and, thanks to alarm triggers and an innovative SMS alert system, the helpdesk team is immediately aware of any potential issues.
