Mid market ERP software giant Epicor is looking for system integration partners across Europe, the Middle Ease and Africa, in a bid to double channel-based revenues over the next two years alone.
Keith Deane, senior vice president for Epicor in EMEA, says that the firm is focusing its recruitment drive on France, Germany, Russia and Benelux, while also boosting its channel presence beyond.
"We have invested in our channel organisation this year in readiness to support our expanded strategy ... across EMEA on new business development and implementations," states Deane.
He says the organisation now needs to recruit partners in its existing key markets, while also boosting the breadth of experience in other markets. Hence, he says, the preference for ERP solutions companies with knowledge of larger systems, including SAP, Oracle, Infor and Microsoft.
"Many may be facing a 'build-or-buy' decision, either having legacy products due for replacement, or looking at building upgrades to older products," he says.
"We are not changing the strategy of only recruiting a select number of partners," comments recently appointed EMEA channel vice president James Frampton.
"We don't want a large channel with resellers that compete against each other. Epicor offers true partnerships, often with some sort of specialism, perhaps domain or vertically driven or to cover certain geographic areas."
