ERP to be instrumental in achieving electronics firm’s growth

Electronic test and measurement instruments manufacturer Thurlby Thandar expects to get full integration with remote IT management support when it goes live with a Syspro ERP system from K3.

The company is modernising its entire IT systems and has gone for K3’s manufacturing, distribution, financials, sales, CRM, quality management, engineering change, and time and attendance. Keith Pauley, Thurlby Thandar production director, says the organisation had simply outgrown its decade-old legacy systems, and that other critical systems were also failing to support its growing business. “We recognised that we needed a modern IT system, because our reliance on unsupported, underdeveloped software was not in line with our current and expected growth,” says Pauley. “TTi has expanded to include a significant distribution business. Add this to our manufacturing operation and it was clear that we needed an integrated solution that would link all parts of the business. Syspro addressed our needs perfectly,” he adds. He expects the new system to allow greater visibility of information to people throughout the organisation. “Integration is key to this as we want key staff to be able to access the information they need to perform their jobs,” says Pauley. All of which will happen without internal IT support, since Thurlby Thandar has no designated IT department. “K3 will manage our system remotely: this allows us to get on with our jobs without the worry of maintaining our IT,” comments Pauley.
