Fluor, the process engineering, construction, operations and project management giant, has signed a three year contract with IBM for outsourced IT services.
IBM is to continue providing help desk, data centre and server services, network management, desk side support, SAP hosting, IT security and disaster recovery services across Fluor’s operations in 74 countries.
“Fluor has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years and, with our flexible, resilient and secure IT infrastructure, we have been able to rapidly scale and support this development around the globe,” comments Ray Barnard, Fluor Corporation’s CIO.
And Renie Craft, IBM Global Technology Services vice president, Industrial Sector, adds: “Our expertise and global delivery capabilities have helped build a solid relationship with Fluor and are pleased to continue supporting their business growth objectives.”
