Computer product design and IT systems development professionals can now upgrade to Masters level free, thanks to European funding that has opened 56 places at the University of Bolton’s Department of Engineering and Design. The department has had last-minute approval of £200,000 from the European Social Fund (ESF), which is match-funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). It’s aimed at those working in computer product visualisation, design, performance analysis and IT systems. Evening classes will be available, and students can study full or part-time. Bid leader Dr Brian Henderson says employers can reap benefits as students’ project work can be linked to existing projects. Says Henderson: “We are offering October start for both the CAPD and IT courses, but there may be a December start option for CAPD route, depending upon available free places.” For information call Dr Brian Henderson on 01204 903467 or email B.Henderson@bolton.ac.uk
