Aerial lifts manufacturer Haulotte Group is reporting significantly improved access to data in real time, since deploying iWay Software, from Information Builders.
Marc Arione, director of information systems at Haulotte, also reveals that the group has improved the flow of information, enabling a more agile IT environment, while also helping to control operational costs.
He explains that the company had a very heterogeneous IT infrastructure consisting of numerous applications that were not integrated – resulting in "numerous errors that had to be corrected manually", impacting productivity and delaying employee access to data.
iWay optimises the exchange of information and ensures that critical business processes related to equipment orders now run smoothly, he says.
But, in addition to fostering a more integrated IT environment, Haulotte is also using iWay to create a customer portal for spare parts orders, which has now become a valuable channel representing 35% of the company's European sales in 2011.
"iWay not only allows Haulotte to effectively connect our many business systems, but also to standardise our applications so we're better prepared for future business changes," states Arione.
"With these features, we can reduce our operational costs and optimise our IT budget through significant cost savings."
