Ortak Jewellery improves efficiency with Access ERP

Silver and gold specialist Ortak Jewellery expects to streamline processes, get real-time reliable reporting and reduce admin when it goes live with Access' manufacturing ERP solution.
"Our existing system had been in place for about 13 years," explains Ortak managing director Alistair Gray. "We found ourselves with numerous databases and spreadsheets outside the core manufacturing system [so] we knew it was time to get new technology."
Gray says Access Supply Chain ERP software "comprehensively covered all our needs", suggesting that some other systems "would have required a fair amount of bespoke work".
He also says that, for him, selecting a new integrated IT system is as much about getting the right people as the best solution. "Access offered the best product and the personnel that we knew we could work with," he states.
And he adds: "In addition to the increased efficiency, we're also going to see an improvement in the speed and reliability of management reporting. Our new solution will offer us real-time reporting that we can access quickly and drill down to get accurate management information."
