Infor's MyDay Web 2.0 role-based user home page is now available on Infor ERP LN – formerly the Baan system, acquired by SSA and subsequently Infor – for discrete manufactures.
Companies operating on Infor ERP LN with Feature Pack 5 or higher and active maintenance plans can get MyDay free.
Jeff Abbott, vice president of solutions marketing at Infor, explains that the new interface, launched last year, ensures that users' key information is immediately accessible, whatever the source.
"For years, ERP solutions have been collecting and organising huge amounts of data from all across the manufacturing enterprise, from the shopfloor through the back-office," he says. "Infor MyDay brings ERP to the next level by taking that data, analysing it and delivering key metrics to relevant users so they can quickly make solid decisions and take action to improve business performance, rather than spending time collecting and analysing data themselves."
Early adopters are enthusiastic. Frans Brackel, logistic manager at Netherlands-based bicycle safety seats manufacturer Dremefa, says: "We are in the process of adopting Infor MyDay and look forward to benefiting from the new, real-time data updates.
"The overview of metrics and online reports presented, along with the ability to drill deeper into the underlying source data, will be particularly valuable to our users. The deployment of Infor MyDay, along with future components and applications for ERP LN such as Infor Decisions, delivers excellent value for our investment and will provide us with greater insight into our business performance."
