Jellycat implements SAP to ramp up customer service

Soft toys manufacturer Jellycat reports success since going live with SAP Business One earlier this year, to integrate the business, automate processes and improve reporting.

The system implemented also includes Accellos warehouse management and the Amodat mobile sales system. Jellycat finance director Danny Olive explains that fast growth meant it had outgrown the firm's previous systems. He also says that Jellycat selected SAP Business One because it offered advanced stock control options, including real-time availability data for sales, as well as analysis tools, all at a competitive price. "As a fast growing small business, which also competes on a global scale, we needed a comprehensive, integrated and scalable solution to help us continue our business success," states Olive. "SAP Business One is remarkably easy to use: we are able to design bespoke reports and workflow procedures… We initially selected SAP Business One as it exceeded our technology requirements, but now realise that it will help us to continue the process of improving business systems and procedures for some time to come." He also cites tangible benefits as including improved efficiency and accuracy over stock allocation, which has enabled Jellycat to offer higher quality customer service. And he reports that the firm has simplified administrative processes, while advanced financial reporting tools have enabled the finance team to deliver faster and better analysis.
