Manufacturing ERP solutions firm K3 Business Technology has signed an exclusive SaaS (software as a service) deal with software developer Syspro.

K3's Managed Services Division will provide hosting and infrastructure services for Syspro's BusinessLive SaaS application, which is available through Syspro's network of distributors around the world. Martin Perry, managing director of K3 Managed Services, explains that the company has already worked closely with Syspro, providing application hosting services for large multi-nationals and smaller UK based Syspro sites wanting a cloud computing approach. "This is a landmark agreement for K3 and reflects the technical strength of our hosting service for Syspro products," comments Perry. "Uptake of Syspro BusinessLive is expected to gain greater momentum as the attractions of cloud computing grow. With some 14,000 Syspro customers worldwide, watching the development of hosted solutions with interest, the agreement represents an exciting opportunity to accelerate the growth of our managed services business." "K3 has enjoyed considerable success in the deployment of Syspro in a hosted environment, supporting customers across the UK, Europe and the USA," states Phil Duff, chief executive of Syspro. "We are delighted to have reached this agreement with K3, making Syspro available as a hosted SaaS solution on a worldwide basis,2 he adds.
