Then its scheduling and production planning engine (dubbed TriCorn RTS, which can also be added to existing ERP and production planning systems) works in real time with shop floor data collection systems to enable policy-based scheduling. It has automatic and semi-automatic modes with a choice of optimisations including shortest throughput time and compliance with delivery dates. Whatever mode, it also enables rescheduling, taking into account factors such as changed priorities, new jobs, machine breakdowns etc, with drag and drop and automatic re-optimisation.
